Which events suit the party and wedding lawn?
- Wedding receptions with a stage, a buffet and room for guests to move around.
- Mehendi, sangeet and haldi functions, where colour, music and dancing want open air.
- Birthday and anniversary parties on a pleasant evening.
- Company dinners, annual days and offsite evenings, and fairs and community events.
Which layouts can we discuss for the lawn?
The lawn is flexible; we plan it around your guests and your programme:
- Reception A stage for the couple, food counters along the edges and open space in the middle.
- Sangeet night A performance area and dance floor, with seating for elders close enough to watch.
- Lounge and buffet Clusters of lounge seating around buffet counters, for a relaxed dinner.
- Fair or stalls Stalls around the edge with a clear walkway, for food courts and community fairs.
Which season suits the lawn, and what about the monsoon?
Pune's monsoon runs roughly from June to September, and showers can arrive with little warning. For lawn events in those months we plan a rain fallback from the start. If it rains, the AC hall is the backup for lawn events. The plan for your date, using the AC banquet hall, is agreed in writing. From October to February the evenings are cool and dry, which is the lawn's natural season for receptions and sangeet nights. In the summer, an evening start after sunset keeps guests comfortable.
Music is allowed till 10 PM. The other timings for your event are agreed in writing.
Combining the lawn with the hall
A common plan is the ceremony or rituals in the hall and dinner on the lawn, so guests move from one setting to another as the day turns into evening. Compare both on the spaces page. In-house catering. Outside caterers are allowed with prior approval. For lawn lighting and themes, see decoration planning. We share guest numbers for the lawn on request, based on your layout.
