Where is the venue in East Pune?

We are in Mundhwa, on Mundhwa Road, on the south bank of the Mula-Mutha river. To the west is Koregaon Park, to the north across the river are Kharadi and Kalyani Nagar, and to the south Magarpatta Road runs down to Hadapsar and Solapur Road. We do not quote drive times until we have checked them properly; for any trip, the Google Maps directions show the current traffic, and the how-to-reach page describes the main routes.

East Pune neighbourhoods near us

Mundhwa. Our own locality, where the old village core meets new housing societies and offices. Local families can attend a morning ceremony, rest at home and come back for dinner. Read about our banquet hall in Mundhwa.

Keshav Nagar. On the same bank of the river as Mundhwa, with many newly built societies whose residents are hosting their first big functions in Pune. See guests from Keshav Nagar.

Koregaon Park. West of us; guests follow North Main Road until it becomes Mundhwa Road. A good fit for a family party that has outgrown the house, or for outstation guests staying in the area. See coming from Koregaon Park.

Kalyani Nagar. Across the river from Koregaon Park, with a mix of settled families and young professionals working along Nagar Road. See coming from Kalyani Nagar.

Kharadi. Just over the Mundhwa bridge, home to the EON IT Park side and fast-growing housing, so a team dinner or offsite here is a short trip across the river. See coming from Kharadi.

Viman Nagar and Pune Airport. North, beyond Nagar Road and Phoenix Marketcity. This is where outstation relatives land, so it is worth planning the day around flight times. See coming from Viman Nagar.

Magarpatta City and Amanora. South along Magarpatta Road; a township family can hold here what the clubhouse is too small for, and a township office its training days and team dinners. See coming from Magarpatta.

Hadapsar. Further south on Solapur Road, with long-established families and the Hadapsar Industrial Estate. See coming from Hadapsar.

Manjri. East of Hadapsar along the Pune-Solapur Highway, with joint families and new housing side by side. See coming from Manjri.

Coming from west Pune or PCMC (Baner, Aundh, Wakad, Hinjewadi, Pimpri-Chinchwad)

We are on the opposite side of the city from Baner, Aundh, Wakad, Hinjewadi and Pimpri-Chinchwad, and we would rather say so plainly. Guests from these areas cross most of Pune to reach us, and the trip can be long at busy times. It still makes sense when most of your family or team is in East Pune, or when the bride's side is in the west and the groom's in the east and you want a venue that suits the larger group.

If most of your guests are from the west, plan a lunch or a weekend function rather than a weekday evening, put an "arrive by" time on the invitation and send the Google Maps link instead of directions. For company events, a shared bus from the office is usually easier than everyone driving.

Central Pune and Camp / Pune station

From the older parts of the city, Camp and the Pune Junction railway station, the way to us is east: through Camp to Ghorpadi Road, over the Shreenath Mhaskoba Flyover and straight on along Mundhwa Road. A venue here can suit a central Pune family when the other side of the family lives in East Pune, or when they want a lawn, which is hard to find in the old city. Relatives arriving by train can come straight from the station; give their driver the pinned location.

Wagholi

Wagholi is further out along Nagar Road beyond Kharadi, and many of its residents work in Kharadi and Viman Nagar. Guests from Wagholi usually come in along Nagar Road towards Kharadi and cross the river at the Mundhwa bridge. Nagar Road is busy, so evening functions need a little extra margin.

Looking for a banquet hall near you in East Pune?

Balkrishna Banquets is in Mundhwa, Pune. The neighbourhoods on this page are the ones around the venue; open the Google Maps link on the location page to see the live travel time from where you are.

Why do you not list drive times from each area?

Because Pune traffic changes a lot by hour and day. Each area page gives the checked road distance instead, and the Google Maps link shows your guests the live travel time.

Does a venue in East Pune work if half our guests live in west Pune?

It can, if you plan for it. Choose a lunch or weekend slot, give an arrive-by time, and consider a shared bus or cabs for the group coming from the west.

Tell us your date. We'll take it from there.
