Coming in from Manjri
Manjri lies east of Hadapsar along the Pune-Solapur Highway, and for most Manjri guests the trip starts on Solapur Road heading towards the city. At Hadapsar they turn north onto Magarpatta Road, pass Magarpatta City and continue into Mundhwa. Some local drivers know shortcuts across through the villages towards Keshav Nagar; if your guests are used to those, the pinned location works for either way.
Solapur Road near Hadapsar is the slow part, particularly in the evening. For a dinner function, a slightly earlier start or a relaxed first hour with snacks gives Manjri relatives time to arrive. Share the Google Maps directions with every driver, and see the how-to-reach page for other routes.
Joint-family functions that need room
Manjri was farmland and village not so long ago, and many of its families still live as joint families with close ties to the surrounding villages. When they host, they host properly: the whole clan, neighbours, friends from the village and relatives who have moved into the city. A wedding here is several days of rituals, and a naming ceremony or a satyanarayan pooja can draw a crowd that no house or village angan can hold.
For days like that, the questions we hear from Manjri families are practical ones. Can the kitchen serve a traditional Maharashtrian meal for everyone? Is there room for the elders to sit comfortably through a long ceremony? Can the haldi happen on the lawn and the wedding in the AC hall? Bring those questions to a site visit and we will walk you through how the day would run.
New townships around Manjri
Alongside the older families, Manjri now has large new housing projects whose residents often work in Magarpatta, Hadapsar or Kharadi. Their requests look more like those of any young city family: a kids' birthday, a baby shower, an engagement where the two families come from different cities. We plan the menu and the layout with you, and confirm everything in writing.
