Which space suits a kitty lunch?
Most kitty parties are weekday or weekend lunches, and the AC banquet hall is the comfortable choice for them: round tables for chatting, room for a games area, and no worrying about the afternoon sun. The open lawn is lovely for a bigger themed evening, an annual kitty celebration or a festive get-together when the weather is cool.
Themes, games and the programme
Every kitty has its own rhythm: the draw for the month's kitty, a round of housie (tambola), a couple of party games, perhaps a dress-code theme like Bollywood, retro, a colour of the month or a festival look. Around Makar Sankranti or in Shravan many groups hold a haldi-kunku instead, exchanging vaan and kunku. Tell us the theme and the games when you enquire, and we plan the seating and the timing of lunch so the games are not interrupted by the food service.
Food for a kitty party
Kitty menus tend to be lighter and more varied than a family function: chaat, a few starters, a main course and a dessert everyone talks about. Some groups like to change the menu every month. Menus are shared on request; see catering, and tell us about any members who eat Jain or satvik food.
Decor and how to enquire
Table decor, a photo corner for the theme, prizes laid out for the games: we plan the decor with you and confirm in writing what applies to your date; see decoration. If your group meets regularly, tell us how often and we can talk about a set day each month. Send your date and theme on WhatsApp, or send an enquiry. Office and site visits run 9:30 AM to 8 PM, every day.
